A Salute to our Roots’

Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of tradition. Grandparents are the family’s strongest foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close to heart.

To honour them, Hindustan International School, Guindy celebrated Grandparents Day on Saturday, 14 th September 2019. Principal of HIS G addressed the gathering and reiterated the role of Grandparents in all our lives, as Grandparents are “ A little bit of parents, a little bit of teacher and a little bit of friend”.

The little tots of Pre Kg and Junior KG came up with scintillating performances as they danced to the melodious tunes of songs based on the themes of unity in diversity, Travel India by train and Incredible India.The performances by students left the spectators spellbound and thoroughly mesmerized.

The Grandparents appreciated and shared their views on the HIS G effort to make a connection between the generations through these events. Grandparents whole heartedly participated in the programmes organized by the School like the Dress Up Show, Building Up The Tower and Musical Corner. The artwork of the Pre Kg and Junior Kg Students were given as Prizes and Mementos to the Grandparents. Indeed the 2019 Grandparents Day was a memorable moment for our Grandparents and our School.
